24 years have swept past and it's the Silver Jubilee year. Time to marvel at the past, be vigilant about the present and expectant about the future.

At the outset, let me thank Sri. C. Ramakrishna who was the Regional Director DAV Institutions, South Zone at the time of inception of this School and the present Regional Director Smt. Seetha Kiran who have been instrumental in guiding the school to this exalted position.

 

The School's past humbles one as it reminds us of the onerous task of carrying forward the legacy left behind. I acknowledge and salute the former Principals of this prestigious institution, who through their dedication and hard work have built the school to this position of strength.

 

Our school though a project school, caters not only to the BDL township children but also to the children of the neighbourhood.

 

The school recognizes that every student has inherent talents and heaps of potential. It has been our aim to bring his talents to the fore and tap this potential. Education is no more synonymous with academic excellence. Academics, sports & games, fife skills, fine arts, all form an integral part of education and our school strives hard to play a stellar role in imparting all the above, with the required value systems firmly in place.

 

The school has always looked at curricular and co-curricular activities as the right avenues for imparting some of the life skills like communication skills, social skills, thinking skills etc. Through Art, Music and Dance, the school has found a way to instill aesthetic sense in the young minds.

 

Young and vibrant India is our byword. Hence physical fitness is attached greater importance and students are encouraged to practise their chosen discipline morning and evening.

 

To keep abreast of the growing trends in education, students are guided to write competitive exams like CYBER Olympiad and Olympiads in Maths, English and Science conducted by Edu-heal. Our students participating in the Hindu young World painting competitions and Geo-Map Quiz is a regular feature.

 

By way of ensuring overall development in students at primary and secondary levels, a contest for 'Ideal Boy' and 'Ideal Girl' was conducted this year

I and my team of teachers realize that it won't do to sit on past laurels and plans are afoot for the future too. With the continued support of the BDL management and steadfast patronage from the parents we hope to bring the plans to fruition.
